Anshu Aggarwal has de-bunked some of the most commonly misunderstood and misinterpreted areas of physical fitness and dominate what most people consider a man’s sport.
Speaking to Stylebee, she says “I am honored, excited and happy to share my power-lifting achievements. Almost from last 8 years I am into fitness, keeping in mind “Health is Wealth”. I took aerobic and yoga classes near my place.’
Anshu is passionate about training, competing and providing a good role model to show women that you can be strong and beautiful, determined to prove that women can train hard and heavy, while still having a great physique.
“But just 8 months back life took a new start when I started my power-lifting training from then on wards, I participated in few competitions. recalls Anshu, “My first gold was in Delhi State power-lifting held in Delhi University (DU). It was recognized as Indian power-lifting Federation (IPF).
Again few months later, Delhi state competition which took place in Jangpura, again gave me a gold, this time I was selected for the nationals held in Jamshedpur and I bagged 2 Silver and 1 Bronze there as well”
Anshu after performing splendidly in Jamshedpur, didn’t stop her desire to achieve more and went on to participate in state and national levels, “Recently I participated in North India Power-lifting Federation where participants of Punjab, Haryana, UP came and I won gold. I just thank god and my family for having 6 Golds, 2 Silver and 1 bronze till 8 months.” Anshu added.
Anshu has clearly hit her stride, but she’s still committed to climbing the ranks in her sport and inspiring countless women in the process.
